The living dead

My paint table is full of wraith constructs these days. 

Gerald my wraithseer needs finishing off. 

As do my 2 more usual wraithlords. The other wraith lord I used to Proxy as a scoring Falcon with bright lance. 

Also my squadrons of war walkers and vypers. All need bringing upto date. 

I'm resisting the urge to buy any new stuff until I've made good in roads into this lot. 

To be honest the vypers are unlikely to get done as I hardly field them. The rest though require some attention. 

Air brush unleashed!

Finally got my head round my airbrush and after a couple of test runs on some old Eldar models I've base coasted my bloodbowl team, the blade bay hackers!

Handy hint. Wear a surgical glove on your 'holding' hand ;)

Eldar off the shelf

I haven't posted here in a while and need to get back into it. 

My Eldar got their first outing since well before the new 6th edition rules came out and it sparked my love interest for them again. 

I played a 2 on 2 battle allying up with another Eldar player. We faced Ultramarines and space wolves. 

I took on the brunt of the space wolves and gave them a bloody nose. 

2 entire hunter squads fell to bladestorming dire avengers. I've grown fond of avengers. They did well in the new codex and only by gaining the bladestorm and battle focus special rules. It's also very fluffy to have avengers in an iyanden army having the shrine of Asurmen on the craftworld itself. 

We only got to turn 2 but did well for what was at the time, a draw. 

I lost a fire prism on turn one and also sustained damage to my second prism and one of my waveserpents. 

Half my forces in the guise of 3 jetbike squadrons and two units of warp spiders were held in reserve. On coming on the board on turn 2 the spider helped wipe out a unit of grey hunters, a lone wolf and a rune priest while my war walkers only just brought down a thunder wolf lord before he brought bloody carnage to my lines. 

I'm looking forward to my next battle but need to get my army painted. At the moment it's a terrible hitch potch of failed paint jobs.
