First Brag!
I WON the konversion competition at my local GW.
We had 20 mins to assemble something from random bitz boxes.
My creation, Silver Surfer Scrab King earns me bragging rights. I don't think I get any real award but its enough for me!
Picture will follow as soon as I work out how to do that :-/

This Blog is seriously lacking pictures! I'll have to remidy that.
Ok so the weekend was a mixed bag for me hobby wise. Played a game of saturday with my new Corsair Army and creamed a Chaos Marine player. I didn't lose a single man!
Sunday went to get some, supplies but was corralled into an impromptu shopping away day by the fiance so I never get round to testing alll the new goodies I bought.
Want I did get is a couple of cans of spray paint. The greay I bought was exactly the right dark tone I needed and I've already base coated my Void Dreamer. THe Bronze however is way to light for my Minotaurs and I' think I'm going to have to start looking again. Still that project is a way off yet so there's no real rush there.
One lessone I've learnt (and probably should have many years ago) is that you can not skimp on super glue. I used to get the cheap stuff from pound shops and it was rubbish. The real stuff is worth its weight in gold.

the long war....
Ok, so looks like I'm going to have to work on my work rate for this blog.
Good news though is that I've finally got a working(ish) paint station sret up in the missesses house and I've managed to finish my Eldar Firestorm conversion. Fitted with Scattercannon AA array and targetter, pics to follow. I've also made a 6 man voidstorm squad but now need to paint these. I may even get up to a playable 1000 army before long!
I've tried the new GW paints and I'm still getting used to them. Hopefully I'll be batch processing Khorne warriors like there's no tomorrow! To be honest this is not a priority and I'll probably end up painting the front ranks of the regiments to table standard and base coat / first highlight the rest.
After getting beat up on two separate occasions using my Space Wolves I've decided that Razorback spam is in fact the way to go. I shall be roughly converting my Rhinos to Lascannon weilding Razorbacks. But I have decided to sell my Space Wolves in favour of starting an elite ( by elite I mean I'm going to model and paint it properly) Minotaurs Chapter. I've done quite a lot of homework (almost lost everything when my PC crashed!! Back-up Arq, BACK-UP!!!) and have a considerable plan in place, time lines, shop price comparisons. (Someone is proud of me somewhere!). I've already ordered some of the stuff and its going to be expensive as a lot of stuff comes from Forgeworld. I've never tried paining metalics (Minotaurs have a bornze armour shade) so I'm going to do some tests tonight. Pics to follow!....
